High LDL and low HDL cholesterol are factors that can point a serious risk for coronary artery disease. They increase your risk of plaque building up in your arteries and there’s also an additional risk when one of them is accompanied by a high triglyceride level.
High blood pressure
High blood pressure can cause the heart muscle to enlarge and not move properly. Try to keep your blood pressure below 120/80 mmHg by losing weight, exercise regularly, eating healthy, and minimizing the amount of alcohol.
Being overweight
This increases your risk of coronary artery disease dramatically. Also, being overweight or obese is linked with high blood pressure or diabetes mellitus. Try to be more active and have a balanced diet, because moderation is the key.
