5. Rosacea
Another non-contagious health condition that affects the skin is rosacea. This skin condition leads to redness and in some cases, bumps and some sort of breakouts that seem like acne. Sometimes, rosacea can also cause skin thickening on the nose.
While more than 14 million Americans have this skin condition, doctors are really sure what’s its root cause. Some experts believe that genetics are involved, while others theorize that the gut bacteria called H. pylori is responsible.
However, those with rosacea can combat it with the help of antibiotics, and no, they are not used to kill bacteria, because there isn’t any, but to fight inflammation.
