2. Inverse psoriasis
Also known as intertriginous psoriasis, inverse psoriasis is quite similar to hidradenitis suppurativa. This skin condition also shows up as lesions, but, the only difference is that they tend to be shiny and smooth.
Those who suffer from inverse psoriasis are already dealing with other type of psoriasis. Doctors think that inverse psoriasis might appear due to a low immune system as well as genetics; however, more evidence is needed to determine the exact causes.
Approximately 7 percent of psoriasis sufferers are also dealing with inverse psoriasis. Treatments vary, but the most common ones for this skin condition are topical ointments and steroid creams.
Some people may even need ultraviolet B treatment in order to cope with their skin condition.
