6. Changes in Appetite and Weight
Changes in appetite and weight could be seen by some people as ‘good news’, especially if they lose weight. But regardless of your or somebody else’s ideal physique, it’s important that you keep an eye on such changes as they could point to bigger, more serious problems.
Unintentional dietary changes, meaning changes that a person did not go out of their way to implement, could point towards depression.
Some people may no longer feel hungry, so the lack of appetite could lead to sudden weight loss while others will have an increased appetite, leading to weight gain.
7. Uncontrollable Emotions
Depression can cause mood swings, so it’s important to keep an eye on your or somebody else’s emotions, especially if nothing seems to have prompted the changes.
If a person goes from crying uncontrollably to having an outburst of anger or goes from feeling irritable to uninterested or numb, they could suffer from this dangerous mood disorder!
