#Subtle sign no. 3: You’re always tired

Are you feeling tired lately? Maybe that’s because diabetes has managed to enter your life. It’s perfectly fine to feel tired from time to time or after certain physical activities, but when this type of tiredness becomes unmanageable and inexplicable, you should be concerned.

Fatigue is actually a common subtle sign of diabetes. It’s also a common coronavirus sign. So, why does diabetes make you sluggish? Well… it doesn’t. Dehydration does. How so? High blood sugar levels lead to frequent trips to the bathroom, and increased urination translates to dehydration.

So, the tiredness you experience is caused by dehydration. However, it can also be a sign of kidney disease, which is a diabetes-related complication.
