How Much Coffee Is Too Much?

Photo by tycoon101 from Envato Elements

So… how much coffee is too much?

Have you ever thought of that? Because caffeine itself has numerous health benefits, but when you drink way too much, those benefits convert in to disadvantages. For most healthy adults, approximately 400 milligrams (mg) of caffeine per day is more than enough to improve alertness and concentration.

To be more specific, a typical cup of coffee contains somewhere between 80–100 mg of caffeine, so it’s best to drink no more than four cups of coffee a day. However, remember that this piece of information is for healthy adults only. If you have certain health issues, talk to your doctor about how much coffee is too much for you.

With that in mind, let’s find out together if you’re drinking way too much coffee or not!
