These Are the Signs of Very High Triglycerides

XANTHOMAS

Fatty deposits beneath the skin are called xanthomas. They can be small or as wide as three inches or more. These fatty deposits can be any shape and can have a yellow or orange color. They may be a warning sign of a very high cholesterol or triglycerides.

 

PANCREATITIS

This is another warning sign of very high triglycerides. Some symptoms include severe belly pain out of nowhere, fever, nausea, vomiting, rapid breathing and rapid heartbeat. You should stay away from alcohol because it can trigger an attack of pancreatitis.

 

OTHER WARNING SIGNS

You may also experience swelling and pain in your liver or spleen. Very high triglycerides may cause blocking of the blood supply to your heart or your brain. Also, symptoms of decreased blood supply to your heart could include chest pain and decreased blood supply to your brain could cause confusion, numbness, blurred vision, dizziness or severe headache.
