This Is How Long the New Covid-19 Vaccine Will Protect You

Adults with high-risk medical conditions

The third segment of the first phase, known as Phase 1c has not seen any official recommendations as of yet, but we can speculate based on hints made by the CDC.

Adults who are most vulnerable to COVID will likely receive the vaccine very early on. This group also includes patients with heart disease, obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, and other immunocompromising conditions.

The final say will come from individual states which may or may not change what is considered “high-risk”, so patients still have to wait a while before they can find out when and how they’ll receive their vaccine.
