Warm water bottles
Heat can degrade plastic, so experts are worried that this can cause chemicals to leach into your water. Some researchers experienced in the study of plastics discovered that drinking water from plastic bottles that have been sitting in hot places for a longer time could be dangerous for humans.
Cheryl Watson, a professor in the biochemistry and molecular biology department at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, advised people to avoid storing bottled water in hot places, because the molecules jiggle around faster, and the plastic leaches its component chemicals out into the water. Now we know why the water tastes funny after we left it in the car during a hot summer day.

My husband worked for the railroad for many years and is now retired. He used to tell me of the rail cars loaded with plastic water bottles in them and, of course, they travel in the summer and get very hot while traveling. My point is that it doesn’t matter where you store your water, it’s already damaged; sorry!
