The issue with fruit juice is that it contains way more fruit than you’d usually consume in one sitting. And all that fruit has sugar, which could add up to the amount of a meal’s worth of calories. But you don’t get any fiber, nor protein or fat. So it’s definitely not worth replacing a meal with two cups of fruit juice.

Studies have shown how processed orange juice had 26% less antioxidant activity, and after storing it for a whole month there was up to 67% less antioxidant activity. Why are antioxidants so important? Well, they fight free radicals in our bodies. High amounts of free radicals are the reason why we get cancer, so nutrients and antioxidants are extremely important to our health.

  1. My husband worked for the railroad for many years and is now retired. He used to tell me of the rail cars loaded with plastic water bottles in them and, of course, they travel in the summer and get very hot while traveling. My point is that it doesn’t matter where you store your water, it’s already damaged; sorry!
