Set your goal
It’s important to set a concrete goal. According to an authoritative report by the Institute of Medicine, the frequently touted “eight glasses a day” rule is a bit simplistic. Your hydration goal should differ based on your sex: men need 3.7 liters of water per day, and women need 2.7 liters. Use that as a starting point.
Carry a bottle of water
This is probably the most common tip you’ll hear and for good reason! Carrying a bottle of water, especially one that measures the water content inside, is a great way to always keep your water handy and your progress trackable. Fill it up in the morning and refill whenever you’re running low or the temperature needs refreshing throughout the day.
