At age 38 in 2010, Michael C. Hall revealed that he was battling cancer, but that the disease was already in remission and he was nearly done with treatment. He returned to work on Dexter later that year and has been cancer-free ever since.

Hall was touched by the outpouring of support from his fans, telling ABC News, “It’s an invitation to be grateful for what I have.”
