11. You’re eating too often
You might have heard about the weight-loss tip regarding eating many small meals, well, it’s not a tip, it’s a common weight-loss myth. Eating too often doesn’t boost your metabolism, nor help you lose weight.
In fact, several studies show that the frequency of your meals has little effect on weight loss or no effect at all. While it’s the perfect excuse to eat more often, it will not help you. Plus, it’s really inconvenient to stay all day long in the kitchen prepping meals.
However, an effective weight-loss method that do involves frequency is called intermittent fasting.
12. You have a health condition that is hindering your weight loss progress
Your weight loss progress could be hindered due to an underlying medical condition. In general, such health conditions promote weight gain while hindering your weight loss progress.
So, if you’re quite strict with your weight loss plan, but yet you’re not losing weight, you might have one of the following medical conditions:
- Hypothyroidism
- Sleep apnea
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
On top of that, medications can also make weight loss harder. In some cases, certain meds can even lead to weight gain. If you think that one of these conditions is the culprit, contact your doctor immediately.
