15 Essential Tips for Coping With a Heat Wave

Wear sunscreen

If there is no chance you can avoid a heat wave by staying indoors, you need at least to make sure you don’t get sunburned. Exposing yourself directly to the sun waves can be damaging to your skin, increasing in time your chances of getting skin cancer.

Considering all these, having a SPF cream at your disposal is essential for your health. Use a SPF(sun protection factor) 15 or higher to protect you from sunburn.

It is recommended to apply it on your skin 20 minutes before running your outdoor activities. If you didn’t manage to avoid the sun rays and got a severe sunburn, apply a wet compress in the next 48 hours.
