15 Essential Tips for Coping With a Heat Wave

Home-made air conditioning system

If you don’t have any air conditioning system, there are other ways to cope with a heat wave. You can use box fans or ceiling fans to assure the air circulation in your home. You can also leave all the doors open as an ”exhaust” system and attract cooler evening air into your home.

In the cooler or rainy evenings, open all the windows to promote air circulation. When the sun rises and the temperatures are beginning to raise, close down your curtains and blinds to keep the air cool.

In the evening, when the air starts to cool down, open your windows and the fan to maintain the fresh air.
