10 Common Issues You Can Develop From Sitting

Have you ever thought what health issues you can develop when you sit down all day? A recent study found that more than half of us spend over six hours sitting down almost every day and, unfortunately, a widening rear end isn’t the only bad result. If you made a habit from sitting, this can have short- and long-term effects on your body.

According to Peter T. Katzmarzyk, Ph.D.: “Even within physically active individuals, there was a strong association between sitting and risk of mortality… This is an important observation because it suggests that high amounts of sitting cannot be compensated for with occasional leisure time physical activity even if the amount exceeds the current minimum physical activity recommendations.”

Maybe, without a hint it’s hard to imagine that a simple and unconscious act like sitting can be so bad for your health but some scientists believe that many of us already have health issues as a result of sitting down all day.

  1. Scientists are always saying stuff based on studies. I say live your life and if you die, you die. you will eventually die. I would rather die my way than someone else’s. At least I have some control over my fate.
