10 Common Issues You Can Develop From Sitting

Weak legs and glutes

When you’re sitting all day, you don’t depend on your powerful lower body muscles for holding you up. Obviously, if you don’t use your muscles, you can develop muscle atrophy, and this is the weakening of your muscles. Your body can be at risk of injury all the time, without strong leg and glute muscles to stabilize you.

Weight gain

When you move, your muscles are releasing molecules like lipoprotein lipase that helps you to process the fats and sugars you eat. So, when you’re spending most of your day sitting, the release of lipoprotein molecules is lessened, and your rear end is at major risk of widening, according to a recent research.

Also, you can develop metabolic syndrome. Researchers found that people who spent more time sitting than usual, gained more weight around the middle and this is the most dangerous place to store fat.
