Gum disease

It has been proven that vitamin D is one of the most important vitamins that can improve your oral health, especially strengthening the gums. According to a study, people who have a normal level of vitamin D and calcium are less likely to lose their teeth and develop gum diseases.

Moreover, the researchers believe that people who are deficient in vitamin D can experience severe symptoms of pre existing oral diseases.

Gum disease, also known as periodontitis, is characterized by bacterial growth in your mouth that leads to tooth loss.

Mental disorders

According to health experts, there is a strong link between low levels of vitamin D and mental disorders, such as dementia, depression and even Alzheimer’s disease. So, Alzheimer’s usually leads to dementia and refers to memory loss and other abnormalities in the brain and cognitive structures.

Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s gets worse over time, especially when dementia symptoms become more severe – however, this process takes a few years and symptoms can be controlled with specific treatment. Asthma

Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs and can affect people of all ages. Unfortunately, asthma can’t be totally cured, but you can control symptoms by appropriate treatment. While some people may experience severe symptoms, others may not feel anything at all. The most common symptoms of asthma are shortness of breath, chest pain, wheezing when exhaling, coughing, and so on.

Thus, according to a study that looked at about 21,000 adults who suffer from asthma, asthmatic patients with low levels of vitamin D are more likely to experience acute attacks and need the help of a doctor more often than those with normal levels of Vitamin D.

So, if you suffer from this condition and want to improve your health state, you should consider getting a sufficient level of vitamin D each day and you can start by spending more time outdoors or taking supplements – if your doctor recommends it, of course.
